I took this image to show what kind of father, my father is. My father is an immigrant man that came to America in 1995. Thought his time in America, as time went on his family was expanding he decided to make his own business to not only be able to go back to Ghana on his own accord but to also be able to take his children, my brother and I, to Ghana to show our roots.
The most challenging aspect of taking this photo was to get the perfect exposure for the photo while also paying attention to the ceiling light and the natural light in the back. In the future I think that I can chose one main lighting so that it doesn't seem that the lights are clashing with each other.
Behind the scenes:
My father thought he had to look at the camera but I told him to act natural.
It was easier to ask my father to help me with my photos because he was use to me taking photos of him when we were in Ghana in May 2023.
